Passion is vital for one reason, keep going in front of problems. For example, everybody makes mistakes or have days where you are not motivated. Products to use is the easiest part. We all know we can find different qualities or brands for the same products. The best part is that you can select any product, but you must understand your target. Read below.

#3) Your gift basket target

Your target may be online customers, company’s clients, fiancé, friend’s special occasion like a birthday or anniversary, etc. Identifying your target is critical for the selection of products and design. Your target will demand how to do a gift basket, not vice-versa.

I learned that if your target is your company’s clients, your products must represent the business. An easy example is if your business is a yoga studio, you will not choose products like high saturated fats. The products let your customers recognize and remember your logo, brand, and core business. 

If your target is your partner, and you want to do a unique gift basket with gourmet products, try to create a theme. For example, your partner is a cheese lover; you already have the answer. If your partner loves self-care products, you already have the answer. If your partner loves to see the basketball game, you can have their favorite team merchandise and two tickets to go to the stadium together. A gift basket is not limited to food; feel free to add the products the recipient loves. 

If your target is online clients, you need to understand your niche first. Your niche is also your forte. For example, if you are good at composing flowers, your target will be online flowers buyers. 

To understand your target, try this exercise, ask yourself who will receive your gift basket. 

  1. If the answer is a specific group of people like family & friends, your gift basket will have the products they love. 
  2. If the answer is the company’s clients, your products must represent the core business. 
  3. If the answer is a broad group, the answer is “do what you best know.”

#5 Your Forte To Create a Gift Basket

Let’s keep talking about your forte or what you best know. This article pushes you to understand what you are good at instead of what the others already did. You have to exploit your skills for two reasons. Your best skills are better than the other people’s whatever skills. And, there is an audience ready to buy the gift baskets made with passion by your best skills. 

If your forte is to understand what the mass want to, and you know which products will sell, you have to buy those massive products. 

If your thing is understanding luxury brands, you have to create a gift basket with those items. (This article is not about administration. To understand your business plan, you will have to wait for another piece or send me an email with your request). 

What about if you do not know your forte? It is okay. It is a legit question; most people do not know it. Quite frankly, I did not know either. If this is the case, and most likely it is, I am sorry if you had to read 740 words before coming to this point. 

If you do not know which your forte is, buy the products you love or would love to receive as a gift. To make things easier, since a gift basket recipient wants to see at least seven, eight, or nine pieces, buy about ten items. The items could be both perishable or not, you choose. Now that you understand that if you do not know your forte, you have to buy ten products you love, go and purchase those items, thinking that you will have to resell the items within a range of $70 and $230. 

We are talking about the consumer stand of point. The cost average per basket is $90. Listen carefully; there are billions of dollars spent on gift baskets with an average of $50. The truth is that people who buy 50 dollars gift baskets will likely use prominent gift baskets vendors like Amazon and 1800giftbaskets. 

Online buyers can pay $300, but this group “size” is smaller than those willing to pay around $50. So, find your niche based on your forte! Your forte is unique and has a price.
